Day 6
Arrival in Athens-Piraeus at 7:00 a.m. We’ll disembark and travel to the Peloponnese, making a brief stop at the Corinth Canal, an impressive engineering marvel from the late nineteenth century. Continuing through the mountains, we’ll reach Tripoli, the capital of the Arcadia region. Here, we’ll take a break, and you’ll have time for a stroll in the bustling Aeros Square with its cafes and restaurants. Our journey will then take us to Olympia, where we’ll visit the Archaeological Site with a local guide (ticket included). The first Olympic Games were held here in 776 B.C., attracting athletes from all over Greece and its colonies. Highlights of the site include the Temple of Zeus, the Stadium, the Gymnasium, and the Arena. Next, we’ll proceed to Patras, the third largest city in Greece, with a remarkable medieval fortress and the largest cathedral in the country. Adjacent to the cathedral is the small church of St. Andrew, a significant place of pilgrimage. Dinner will be included.
After breakfast, we’ll cross the Rio–Antirrio Bridge, a spectacular suspension bridge that connects the Peloponnese with the Greek mainland. We’ll travel through the regions of Central Greece and Epirus. Upon arrival in Igoumenitsa, a port town, there will be time for a stroll before boarding the modern ferry at 02:00 p.m. to sail across the Ionian Sea to Italy. We’ll reach Brindisi by the end of the day, around 09:00 p.m., where we’ll spend the night.

Today, we’ll visit two extraordinary and authentic towns. Our first stop will be Alberobello, famous for its unique conical-shaped houses known as trulli. These distinctive structures, with their stacked stone roofs, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and represent a remarkable example of Italian rural architecture. Next, we’ll head to Matera, located in the Basilicata region, renowned for its ancient historic center and the Sassi di Matera—a complex of ancient dwellings and buildings carved into the rock, dating back thousands of years. Not only is it a World Heritage Site, but also one of the oldest continuously inhabited human settlements in the world. You’ll have time to explore and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll continue our journey through Basilicata and Campania, taking in the beautiful mountain landscapes. We’ll arrive in Naples by evening, where you’ll have free time to explore.

We’ll take a ferry to Capri, and after a 45-minute crossing, we’ll arrive on this island, famous for its natural beauty and luxurious lifestyle. If you’d like, you can take a boat to the Grotta Bianca or ride the cable car up to Capri town and visit the Gardens of Augustus for stunning panoramic views. We’ll then return to Naples, where you’ll have time for a walk and lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll visit Pompeii (admission and guided tour included), the once-thriving city that was buried under ash and rubble when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD. We’ll continue to Rome, arriving at the end of the day.

Hotelería:
La habitación triple o cuádruple, como así las reservas con menores, en la mayoría de los destinos (salvo se indique lo contrario en el tipo de habitación), corresponde a 1 habitación doble, por lo que la cama adicional está sujeta a disponibilidad del hotel y no se asegura.
Las tarifas no reembolsables de hoteles, no admiten devoluciones, una vez reservadas, en caso de cancelación, incurre en el 100% de gastos.
Circuitos
Los precios de los proveedores de circuitos como, Special Tours, City Tours, Wamos, Euroriente, Panamericana, VPT, entre otros, no incluyen 3% correspondientes a Iva y gastos administrativos, salvo excepciones que en ese caso se indicará que el precio es final. En el caso de Europamundo es del 2%.
Los itinerarios de los circuitos están sujetos a modificaciones tratando siempre de respetar la cantidad de días y los destinos previstos en los posible.

Traslados, autos y excursiones
Leer bien los detalles de los traslados y su tiempo de espera, sobre todo cuando los Tickets aéreos tienen el equipaje incluido a efectos que el servicio no genere inconvenientes y sea considerado No Show por lo que no habrá devolución del dinero en caso de que el servicio no se haya podido realizar.
En caso de alquiler de autos, tomar nota que si el pasajero no se presenta en el horario seleccionado al tomar la reserva, la misma puede ser considerada NO SHOW y no habrá posibilidad de devolución de dinero. Algunos servicios como GPS, cadenas para autos en caso de nevadas, asiento para bebés, etc, no están incluidos en el precio. Tener presente que al final de su estancia si pasó por lugares de peajes, este puede ser cobrado al final, en muchos destinos.
En el caso de las excursiones y alquileres de autos el horario de pick up y drop off y el horario de inicio de la excursión debe ser cumplido, excepto que el proveedor indique lo contrario.
